SMT invites applications from experienced and qualified Artistic Staff for the following positions:

Producers:

Urinetown – The Musical – February 5 - 21, 2009

Merrily We Roll Along – April 30 – May 16, 2009

Both at Scarborough Village Theatre subject to availability of performing rights.

To apply, please prepare and submit the following items by June 21, 2008:
	A current resume or C.V. highlighting relevant past experience
	A cover letter with a brief description of your interest in the production
	A list of any commitments that might limit your availability during the four months prior to opening.

Note:
	All applicants will receive an email or phone call confirming receipt of their application.
	Interviews will be scheduled before the end of June. While we strive to interview as many candidates as possible, we cannot guarantee that all applicants will have an interview.
	Auditions normally take place during the last weekend of the preceding show.
	Rehearsals are traditionally held Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7pm and 10pm, and Sunday afternoons between noon and 6pm. Sunday evening rehearsals are typically added only in the two weeks prior to opening, once we have moved into the Theatre.
	Additional rehearsals may be scheduled on Tuesday and / or Thursday evenings at the discretion of the Artistic Staff and the Producers to meet the requirements of the show.
	The work of the Producer officially ends with the filing of their show report to the Board of Directors at the earliest possible board meeting following the close of the show. Each show runs at least 11 performances over 3 weeks — Thursday to Sunday in Weeks 1 and 2, Thursday to Saturday in Week 3; Wednesdays may be added in Weeks 2 and 3 if there is sufficient demand for tickets.
